happy father's day people! just got back from malaysia where my grandma's place had the father's day + dumpling festival celebration! n guess what i found there.. super duper OMG i tell u, OWLS! and the mama owl absolutely freaked me out. i expected owls to be like those harry potter owls, hedwig's beautiful, snowy white and its eyes are a lil like cats in a way rite? black with yellow rim. that's my impression of owls, so when i stood almost directly under the mama owl, n it suddenly turned its head n looked straight at me, i was shocked by how huge n totally black its eyes are n i just screamed a lil, moved back n it flew away! that's scary k n it's a huge owl, brr. n i concluded owls are scary birds.

but after lunch, my uncle said there's another owl and i went to the backyard with my dad again n this time, it's a much smaller one, like a baby owl n it's quite cute! much smaller eyes (though still as black n shiny) but it's not as aggressive as its mama. it just stood there n when i took its pix, it just turned n look n stayed still all the way for a very long time. luckily its mama did not fly back because apparently once when my cousin went near it, the mama owl screeched super loud, super scary. so i guess only adult owls with super black eyes are scary.

the baby owl, pretty cute. but imagine its mum, like 3 times it size. -shudders-

okie my cousin's dog. named zai zai(u know the F4 guy? HAHAHA.) it's super scared of people and just runs an stick to my cousin all day long but quite sweet in that sense too i guess, cos my cuz just carries it like a baby. it's sick today, heard it vomitted 20x the night before n my guess was that it got food poisoning from the keropok they fed it the night before but cuz says that it ALWAYS eats keropok so haha maybe it's just the weather.

i love keropok...

...gives me cute lion paws.

and one more bird story (: my aunty's electric meter box got a bunch of visitors! she was away for 2 weeks and when she came back, a bird nest was on top with 2 newborn baby birds! so sweet to see the mama bird keep flying back to feed them and it's even sweeter when me n my dad realise its not only the mama bird, but like a total family activity with their uncles n aunties n papa n maybe cousins birds all taking turns to feed cos we spotted another 4 more birds of the same kind. awww (:

the baby birds in the nest, cant tell the head n all but ya there're 2 of them.

the family taking turns to look after and feed them.

feedin in action: the tail.

feeding in action, the bird's head.
the mama bird crouching over the babies at night!

sweetness. n i hate mosquitos, the Feed Us Mosquitos Foundation should gimme a medal for the amount of blood i've donated to them ):
